Our Mission

Mission of INDOCERT is to render reliable and affordable certification services in safe and sustainable food and agricultural production sector

INDOCERT is a nationally and internationally operating, certification body established in India. INDOCERT is accredited by National Accreditation Body (NAB), Government of India, as per National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for Crop production (Individual and Group), Processing, Trade and Wild collection. Furthermore Based on APEDA conformity assessment with NPOP, INDOCERT offers Organic certification as per USDA-NOP standards for products destined for export to the United States.

INDOCERT is internationally accredited by IOAS and compliant with ISO/IEC 17065:2012, to carry out certification of products, process and services in the field of Organic production for the categories of unprocessed plant products, agricultural products for the use as food and agricultural products for use as feed according to the certification program of INDOCERT Organic standard for Non EU country operators (equivalent to Reg EC. No 834/2007 &  EC No. 889/2008). INDOCERT is included in the Swiss list of control bodies that can provide equivalent guaranties for products produced in accordance with of the Swiss Ordinance of Organic Farming SR 910.18. INDOCERT is also approved by BIOSUISSE to provide BioSuisse inspection services.

INDOCERT has been accredited as per ISO 17021 & ISO 22003 by National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB, QCI, India) for providing Food Safety Management System Certification based on ISO 22000:2005, certification for IndiaHACCP and IndiaGHP.

INDOCERT is approved by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), UK to offer Food Safety Training Programmes from Foundation Level to Level 4.

INDOCERT provides certification under various sustainable agricultural standards. INDOCERT is India’s first indigenous certification body approved for Rainforest Alliance (RA) certification. The RA certification is based on the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture standard for Agriculture farms, Group administrators and Chain of Custody. INDOCERT is an approved certification body for certification for UTZ certified code of conduct and chain of custody requirements for Tea, Coffee, Cocoa and Herbs.

INDOCERT is also approved for providing trustea certification based on trustea standards for tea plantations.

INDOCERT offers verification audits for BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) according to the BCI standard for cotton and 4C verification services for coffee. INDOCERT is approved for providing castor certification based on castor code of conduct.

INDOCERT has been approved by UEBT (Union of Ethical Bio Trade) to offer certification audit services in accordance with the relevant provisions of the UEBT protocols applicable for the audits such as UEBT IMS Supply Chain Certification protocol or UEBT/UTZ Herbal Tea Supply Chain Certification protocol.

New applications for organic certification can only proceed up to the point of document review and preparation for inspection.On-site inspection will be scheduled after lifting of COVID restrictions. This also applies to extensions of scope and transfers that would normally require on-site inspection.
